MOBOT ORCA Motor & Drive System
The MOBOT ORCA Ebike is powered by a 48V 240W brushless geared rear-hub motor. Riders can select from three pedal-assistance modes to balance motor support, pedalling effort and battery consumption. A cadence sensor detects pedal movement and activates the motor assistance, while the simple single-speed chain drivetrain uses a 36-tooth front chainring and 16-tooth rear freewheel. Motor assistance is limited to a maximum speed of approximately 25 km/h.
MOBOT ORCA Battery & Range
The MOBOT ORCA uses a removable 48V 17.5Ah lithium-ion battery, providing approximately 840Wh of nominal energy capacity. MOBOT originally promoted the model with Samsung battery cells and an assisted range of up to 90 km per full charge. A complete recharge takes approximately 11–12 hours using the supplied charger. Actual range may be lower when carrying heavier loads, using stronger assistance, climbing hills, riding into headwinds or travelling with low tyre pressure.
MOBOT ORCA Frame & Build
The MOBOT ORCA features a folding 6061 aluminium-alloy frame, aluminium fork and matching 16 × 3-inch pneumatic tyres mounted on magnesium-alloy sports rims. The bicycle weighs approximately 20 kg and supports a maximum combined load of 120 kg. Front and rear FILEL F4 mechanical disc brakes with 160 mm rotors handle stopping duties, while the integrated rear rack supports up to approximately 15 kg of suitable cargo.
MOBOT ORCA Weather Rating
No formal whole-bicycle IP water- or dust-resistance rating is publicly documented for this MOBOT ORCA configuration. Replacement batteries are sold with a splash-resistant charging-port cover, but this should not be interpreted as a waterproof rating for the entire bicycle. Riders should avoid floodwater, deep puddles, pressure washing and prolonged heavy rain. The battery contacts, charging port and charger must be completely dry before charging.
