Fiido D2S Motor & Drive System
The Fiido D2S electric bicycle is powered by a 36V 250W brushless geared rear-hub motor. It supports a maximum assisted speed of up to 25 km/h and provides three levels of electrical pedal assistance. A Shimano six-speed drivetrain allows riders to adjust their mechanical gearing for starts, slopes and urban cruising. The D2S also supports electric, pedal-assist and conventional cycling modes, giving Malaysian commuters flexibility for different journey lengths and riding conditions.
Fiido D2S Battery & Range
The Fiido D2S uses a removable 36V 7.8Ah lithium-ion battery, providing approximately 280.8Wh of nominal energy capacity. EkoLife Malaysia advertises up to approximately 65 km in pedal-assist mode and 35 km in electric mode, while Fiido’s official manual states an assisted range of up to 60 km. A complete recharge takes approximately five hours using the supplied 42V 2A charger. Actual range will vary according to rider weight, assistance level, throttle use, terrain, speed, tyre pressure and battery condition.
Fiido D2S Frame & Build
The Fiido D2S features a folding aluminium-alloy frame with matching 16 × 1.95-inch pneumatic tyres. The official manual lists a net weight of approximately 19.9 kg and a maximum combined load of 120 kg. Front and rear mechanical disc brakes provide cable-operated stopping performance, while the rear suspension helps absorb vibration from uneven surfaces. The bicycle measures approximately 135 × 57.5 × 110 cm when unfolded and 80 × 40 × 65 cm when folded.
Fiido D2S Weather Rating
The Fiido D2S has an official IP54 ingress-protection rating. This provides limited protection against dust and water splashes from different directions, but it does not make the bicycle completely waterproof. Riders should avoid floodwater, deep puddles, submersion and pressure washing. The charging port and electrical connections must be completely dry before charging.
