ENGWE M20 Ebike Motor & Drive System
The international ENGWE M20 ebike is powered by a 750W brushless rear-hub motor with up to 1,000W of peak output and 55 Nm of torque. This motor provides strong acceleration for urban riding, recreational routes and moderate inclines of up to 10 degrees. A Shimano seven-speed transmission allows riders to adjust their mechanical gearing according to speed, gradient and riding conditions. The international configuration can reach up to approximately 45 km/h, while versions supplied for restricted markets may be limited to 25 km/h. Actual speed depends on the controller configuration, rider weight, battery level, terrain and riding conditions.
ENGWE M20 Ebike Battery & Range
The ENGWE M20 Ebike is available with either one 48V 13Ah lithium-ion battery or two matching 48V 13Ah batteries, providing a total dual-battery capacity of 48V 26Ah. The single-battery configuration offers an advertised pedal-assisted range of up to 75 km, while the dual-battery model can provide a combined range of up to approximately 150 km under favourable PAS Level 1 conditions. When both batteries are switched on, the system manages their available power collectively. Each battery takes approximately five hours to charge, and real-world range will vary according to assistance level, throttle use, rider weight, terrain, tyre pressure and riding speed.
ENGWE M20 Ebike Frame & Build
The ENGWE M20 Ebike features a durable 6061 aluminium-alloy frame with a motorcycle-inspired, non-folding design. It weighs approximately 34.8 kg and supports a maximum combined load of 120 kg. Its full-suspension setup includes a front hydraulic shock and rear air shock absorber, while the 20 × 4.0-inch fat tyres provide additional cushioning and stability. Front and rear 160 mm mechanical disc brakes manage stopping duties, and the Shimano seven-speed drivetrain gives riders greater flexibility across flat roads and inclines.
ENGWE M20 Ebike Weather Rating
ENGWE does not publish a formal IP water-resistance rating for the original M20 Ebike on its official product specification pages. The ebike should therefore not be advertised as waterproof. Riders should avoid floodwater, deep puddles, pressure washing and prolonged exposure to heavy rain. The battery, charging port and electrical connections should be kept dry, and the bicycle should only be charged after all relevant components are completely dry.
