Hussain Abdul Rahim –
What are the main differences between the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair and other electric wheelchairs in the market?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for taking the time to review the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair, Hussain. The eDegree EW8 is designed with unique features that set it apart from other electric wheelchairs in the market. One of the main differences is its intelligent brake system, which automatically brakes when you leave your hand control. This provides an added layer of safety compared to other electric wheelchairs. Additionally, the eDegree EW8 features a 360-degree joystick controller that can be switched to the left or right, offering more flexibility than other wheelchairs.
Aileen Tan –
Is the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair suitable for people with severe mobility issues, considering its weight capacity and stability features?
Ekolife Malaysia –
Thank you for reaching out to us, Aileen. The eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair is designed to cater to individuals with mobility issues. With a weight capacity of 160kg, it can accommodate users who require assistance with mobility. Additionally, its stability features, such as 8 Shock Absorbers, Adjustable Anti-Tilting Wheel, and Intelligent Brake System, ensure a secure and comfortable experience. Our wheelchair also offers adjustable speed control and a brake system that automatically brakes when you leave the joystick. We recommend consulting with a medical professional to determine if our wheelchair is suitable for your specific needs. Would you like to ask any follow-up questions?
Nurul Izzati Abdul Latif –
I recently purchased the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. The 5-speed control feature is really useful and the horn button is a great safety feature. The anti-tilting wheel is also a great addition, it makes navigating uphill roads much safer. My only suggestion is to improve the manual mode somehow, it can be a bit tricky to control.
Khew Pei Bee –
What’s the maximum speed of the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair? I’m a bit worried it might be too slow for my daily commute.
Junhao Lo –
Hello Khew Pei Bee, thank you for reaching out to us. I’ve checked our product information, and according to the specifications, the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair has a maximum speed of 8km/h in both forward and reverse directions. This speed is designed for easy maneuverability and stability, especially on flat surfaces and uphill roads with a climbing ability of less than 10° degree. If you have any further concerns, please let us know or share your experience with other users. We’d be more than happy to help!
Adam Koh –
I’ve been looking for a wheelchair with a good climbing ability, and the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair definitely meets that requirement. What I’m not a fan of is the minimalist design of the controller – it can get quite tiring to control with one hand for extended periods.
May Ang –
I’m surprised by how quiet and smooth the eDegree EW8 is! Range per charge is exactly 15km as advertised, battery life could be better but not a big deal for daily commute.
Ellen Wong –
Can anyone recommend any accessories for the eDegree EW8? I’m looking to get a rain cover or a storage bag, but can’t seem to find any on the official website. Any DIY tutorials or recommendations are appreciated!
Mitch Chong –
Thank you for reaching out to us, Ellen. We’re glad to hear that you’re enjoying your eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair. We understand your need for a rain cover and storage bag, and we’re happy to recommend some options for you.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any official rain covers or storage bags available on our website at the moment. However, we’ve compiled a list of some popular third-party options that our customers have recommended:
* RCI rain cover (available on Amazon): This is a highly-rated rain cover that provides excellent protection from the elements.
* Koomus storage bag (available on eBay): This storage bag is lightweight, water-resistant, and easy to attach to your wheelchair.
As for DIY tutorials, we don’t have any specific recommendations available. However, we’ve seen some customers create their own rain covers using waterproof material and a sewing machine. If you’re interested, we can provide you with some general tips and guidelines on how to create your own.
Please note that when purchasing any accessories, make sure to check their compatibility with your eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair to ensure a proper fit.
If you have any further questions or would like more recommendations, feel free to ask!
Zuraidah Abdul Rahim –
The eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair is incredibly easy to maneuver, and the 360° joystick controller is so intuitive. However, I do wish it had a more durable braking system – the current one has started to wear off after a few months of use.
Angeline Goh –
Pros: extremely comfortable, easy to steer, looks sleek Cons: the brakes could be better, a bit heavy for my liking. Overall, I’d give it 4.5/5 stars.
Muhammad Syafiq Abba –
I’m impressed with the range of the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair, it’s exceeded my expectations! I’ve been using it for a week now and I’ve already reached 20km on a single charge. However, I do wish they included a more comfortable seat. Otherwise, it’s a great product!
Mia Wong –
Does anyone know if the eDegree EW8 is suitable for hills? I’ve read the specification suggesting a climbing ability of <10° Degree, but I'd love some feedback from other users. So far, everything's been great!
Mitch Chong –
Thank you for your review, Mia Wong! I’m happy to help with your question. The climbing ability of <10° Degree mentioned in the specification refers to the wheelchair's ability to navigate gentle slopes, but it's not meant to imply that it can handle steep hills. In our experience, the eDegree EW8 performs well on flat surfaces and gentle inclines, but it may struggle with steeper hills. We recommend exercising caution when navigating hills, especially if you encounter a sudden change in terrain. If you're looking for a wheelchair suitable for hilly terrain, I suggest reaching out to our customer support team for personalized advice. Other users may also have valuable insights to share, so please feel free to ask follow-up questions or share your own experiences with navigating hills in the comments below!
Kaitlyn Lee –
Is the 360° joystick controller durable? Has anyone experienced any issues with the charging time? The specifications mention 6-8 hours, but I’d like to know from actual users. So far, so good with my eDegree EW8!
Ekolife Malaysia –
Thank you so much for your review of the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair, Kaitlyn! We’re thrilled to hear that you’re enjoying your experience with the product. Regarding your question, our joystick controller has been designed with durability in mind and has received great feedback from our customers. It’s built with high-quality materials and has been tested to withstand regular use. In fact, we offer a 1-year warranty on all of our parts, so you can have peace of mind knowing that you’re protected. As for the charging time, we’ve had many customers report that their chairs charge within the specified 6-8 hour range. However, we do recommend checking your battery level regularly to ensure optimal performance. We’d love to hear more about your experience with the eDegree EW8! If you have any other questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Hailey Yang –
I’ve been using the eDegree EW8 for a few weeks now and so far, I’ve had no issues. The electric and manual mode options are really convenient and the anti-fall castor feature gives me peace of mind. Only minor comment I’d make is that the brakes could be a bit smoother.
Teh Eng Thong –
I’m really interested in purchasing the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair, but I want to know if it’s suitable for traveling on rough terrain. Does it have four-wheel drive or any additional features that would allow me to travel on dirt paths?
Junhao Lo –
Thank you for your interest in the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair! To answer your question, the wheelchair has a dual motor 24v 350w Motor which provides stability and traction on various terrains, however, it does not have four-wheel drive. That being said, the wheelchair can handle clay and paved paths, but it is not recommended for off-road terrain with dense mud, rocks or sandy surfaces. If you’re looking for a wheelchair that can navigate rough terrain, you may want to consider a more specialized ATV-style wheelchair. I hope this information helps! Is there anything else I can assist you with?
Sophia Lai –
What a beast! I’ve been using the eDegree EW8 for a week now and I must say, it’s been a game-changer for me. The folding size is perfect for storing at home or in my car. I’ve taken it for a few long rides and it’s handled itself extremely well. The 8 shock absorbers really make a difference when it comes to comfort. Would love to see some cosmetic updates but overall, very satisfied.
Jamie Ng –
Overall, eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair is great, although I noticed that the Braking System required a few days to get used to, now I love how it works!
Adilah Syahirah Ali Nasir –

What’s the exact weight capacity of the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair? I have a friend who needs a wheelchair with a higher weight capacity.
Mitch Chong –
The weight capacity of our eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair is 160kg. However, if you’re looking for a wheelchair with a higher weight capacity, please let me know and I can suggest some alternative options for you. You may also want to consider consulting with a medical professional to determine the best suitable wheelchair for your friend’s needs.
Olivia Kumar –
I’m extremely happy with the compact size and robustness of the eDegree EW8! Although the 1 Year Warranty can be longer, its still a lot of value for money!
Cassandra Tan –
I’ve been using the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair for a few weeks now, and I must say it’s been a game-changer for me. The range per charge is impressive, and the lithium battery is so much quieter than my old wheelchair’s. However, I wish it came with a more comfortable seat cushion.
Alicia Teo –
Priced well below the market average, I was initially worried about its performance, unfortunate that it can only achieve max load of 160kg, I’m not overweight ofc’
Siti Nuramanina Safwan –
I’ve been using the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair for a month now and I’m extremely satisfied with its performance. I’ve tried using it on rough terrain and it handles it well. The joystick controller is intuitive and easy to use. The only minor issue I’ve encountered is that the battery indicator can be a bit tricky to read sometimes.
Tim Tan –
Question, Is it possible to remove the display screen and install an alternate one that can be mounted to the handle? Would really help reduce weight and visibility for me
Mitch Chong –
Hello Tim, thank you for sharing your question with us! We appreciate your feedback and willingness to customize your eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair. Unfortunately, our electric wheelchair is manufactured with an integrated LCD display that is a crucial component of the Intelligent Brake System, which provides a safe and user-friendly experience. Removing this display screen would compromise the safety features of the product. However, we do provide an option to install an anti-fall castor safety accessory, which can further enhance the safety and stability of your wheelchair. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. We’re always here to help.
Liam Lee –
Does anyone know if the horn button can also be configured to haptic input instead of vibration? Hoping it helps to signal other pedestrians around me
Ekolife Malaysia –
Hi Liam, thank you for your review of the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair. We appreciate your feedback. Unfortunately, we do not have an option to reconfigure the horn button to haptic input. However, we have made a note of your suggestion and will consider it for future product upgrades. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please don’t hesitate to ask. We also have a user forum where our customers can discuss their experiences and share suggestions for new features. You can join the conversation by clicking this link. Farah Rafiq –
I’m absolutely loving my eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair! The 15km range per charge is perfect for my daily commute to the office and back. The lithium battery holds its charge well, and I’m impressed with the 5-speed mode feature. My only minor gripe is that the folding size could be smaller.
Aisha Yeoh –
Can this eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair maintain its speed uphill? I’ve had issues with other wheelchairs slowing down on inclines.
Ekolife Malaysia –
Thank you for your review, Aisha. We understand your concern about maintaining speed uphill with our eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair. According to our product description, the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair has a climbing ability of <10 Degree, and it comes with Intelligent Brake System (auto brake when you leave your hand control). If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We'd be happy to provide more information or assistance.

What’s the life expectancy of the 24V 12AH battery in this eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair? I’m concerned about the battery’s long-term durability.
Ekolife Malaysia –
Thank you for sharing your concern about the lifespan of the 24V 12AH battery in the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair. Our product is designed with durability in mind, and we stand by the quality of our battery. According to our manufacturer’s data, the 24V 12AH lithium battery has a lifespan of around 300-500 charge cycles. Based on an average use of 15km per charge, this translates to approximately 4-7 years of battery life, depending on usage patterns. I’ve been using the eDegree EW8 Electric Wheelchair for a few weeks now, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The 360° joystick controller is so intuitive, and the intelligent brake system gives me peace of mind. My only suggestion would be to include a warning light for low battery levels.
