The local product specification lists a 12-magnet speed sensor, which activates motor assistance after detecting pedal rotation. A Shimano seven-speed drivetrain gives riders additional mechanical control for starting, climbing and cruising. Commonly documented D11 motor specifications state approximately 35 Nm of torque, although the exact motor marking should be checked on EkoLife Malaysia’s current stock.

The safest Malaysian product-page wording is therefore “designed to tolerate normal splashes and light rain” rather than presenting IP54 as confirmed for the local stock.
