Yes. The external battery for the MC and LC is in MY stock as a stand-alone SKU — so a current MC owner can add range without buying a new e-bike. The MC Pro uses the same modular battery architecture. Our workshop can fit the second pack on the same day in most cases.

Trade-ins toward a new MC Pro or MC are accepted depending on model, age, and condition. Bring the e-bike in for an in-workshop assessment and we’ll quote on the spot. Because the external battery and rear rack cushion accessories transfer cleanly between MC generations, the trade-in path doesn’t mean losing the accessories you’ve already invested in.

The MC Rear Rack Cushion is a factory-supported Jimove accessory designed as a defined passenger seat with a foot position — it’s not a casual perch. We recommend it for older children and adult passengers only, and we fit the bracket and check the rack bolts during installation. For very young children, we suggest a dedicated child seat on a different platform rather than the rear rack cushion configuration.

The external battery pack on the MC and MC Pro is rated for normal wet-road riding — puddles, brief heavy rain, and wet commuter conditions are within spec. We don’t recommend submerging the pack or leaving it on the bike during a thunderstorm. The pack is removable, so Malaysian riders who commute in heavy afternoon rain can take it indoors for charging and storage.

The legacy LC controller firmware is tracked in-house at our workshop. Every LC that comes in for service gets the latest known-good firmware revision as part of the standard service check, and firmware-only updates are available as a stand-alone service item without a full overhaul. For owners of older LC units who haven’t been in for service in a while, this is the cheapest way to bring the unit up to current behaviour.

Yes — the MC Pro external battery charges in-place via the standard charge port on the rack cradle, so most owners charge it overnight without removing it. For longer-term storage, removing the pack and storing it indoors at 40–60% charge extends the cell life, especially in a hot Malaysian apartment. The MC standard external battery uses the same cradle-and-port arrangement, so the same storage advice applies across the line.
